Brighter Revealed

11’Hx 8’W x 8’L

In 2021 Connection Lab worked with Tova Speter to design and create an 11-foot-tall,  stained-glass-inspired, wooden lantern structure with designs by more than 300 community members. The structure was built on a trailer that moved around the Boston area during the holiday of Hanukkah, bringing light into a dark season.  12 community groups of all ages created personal designs that reflected the things that bring them strength. These designs became windows for the lantern. During the day visitors were invited inside the lantern, where they experienced the art and heard the voices of people describing what brings them strength. At night the lantern was lit from inside and viewed from street-level.
